Dada Joe Remix was picked up by Ghanaian authorities on June 7, 2024. This came after U.S. officials requested his extradition to face charges in Virginia.

The U.S. government accuses him of being part of an online fraud syndicate that tricked people through romance scams, fake investment schemes, and business email compromises — stealing large amounts of money in the process.

Reports say he used his flashy online presence to create trust and attract victims. His arrest is part of an ongoing crackdown on internet fraudsters with international links.
