A final-year student at Wa T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School, located in the Upper West Region of Ghana, is currently in critical but stable condition after being stabbed by a fellow classmate during a heated argument on the school grounds on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
The victim, identified as Iddrisu Ibrahim—known to friends and classmates as “Lincoln”—studies Agricultural Science and hails from Bulenga. His assailant, Hafis “Baayaawa,” also in his final year and a General Arts student from Bawku, reportedly confronted Lincoln over a video that Lincoln had recorded of him without permission.

Eyewitnesses describe how Hafis demanded that the video be deleted. When Lincoln refused, Hafis allegedly warned him and then, according to witnesses, produced a knife and stabbed Lincoln in the rib and stomach areas.
Lincoln, in staggering pain and bleeding heavily, managed to walk from his hostel toward the school library before collapsing. Shocked bystanders rushed to his aid, removing the knife before carrying him to the hospital.
Local police arrived quickly to the scene, apprehending Hafis and preventing fellow students—who gathered in anger—from escalating the incident. Hafis is now in police custody, assisting with investigations.
Lincoln is currently receiving emergency care at the Wa Regional Hospital, where doctors report he is in critical condition but stable. Authorities have increased campus security while the police continue their investigation. The school’s administration has not yet issued a public statement.
